Duties:
Gather, extract, manipulate, and analyze data using SQL and Python. Work with client to Identify best/preferred data handling practices and look for opportunities to enhance existing processes to better realize contract goals. Review existing data documentation to ensure team is using the correct data, following correct policies, or otherwise aligning with client’s data policies and practices. Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting. Typically, this will involve working with client-side data SMEs to identify tables or other sources data that are accurate and relevant to data analysis goals. Create tools and reports, such as physical data models and dimensional analyses. Design, code, test, and aggregate results from queries to provide ad-hoc information to users on request. Develop and refine methods to detect fraud by identifying critical signals through data analysis. Review trend reports for indicators of threat actor activity and review insights with the investigation team. Work closely with various teams to compile and deliver adhoc reports and insights, facilitating informed decision making across the organization. Create and manage new data tables upon request, improving data accessibility and query efficiency; identify and address issues with existing data structures by collaborating with client-side data SMEs. Create and disseminate documentation on findings from adhoc investigations and signal development, ensuring clarity and accessibility of information to all relevant stakeholders. Coordinate data access requests across teams, streamlining the process of data collection and integration to support analysis and reporting needs. Telecommuting permitted.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Sciences, Research Sciences, Business Analytics, or related field (or foreign equivalent) plus 2 years of experience in job offered, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or related occupation. Requires 2 years of experience in the following: 1. SQL 2. Advanced data visualization and modeling tools: PowerBI or Tableau 3. B2B consulting for data solutions 4. Enterprise relational database management 5. Fraud prevention space.
